Case Study: Steel Supplier
A West Midlands steel and timber supplier had been visited by the local enforcement authority. As a result of that visit, they had been issued with several improvement notices and a prohibition notice on one of their machines.
Our objective was to review the company’s approach to health and safety and suggest workable, sustainable solutions to protect the business and its employees for the future.
The solution was to work with the business and empower their employees to manage health and safety effectively going forward. We liaised with the enforcement authority and successfully managed to satisfy all the requirements of the improvement notices. We used our knowledge and experience to have the prohibition notice lifted without any significant changes needed to the machine in question.
We now provide a retained service to this business to periodically review their safety performance and advise and guide where any improvements are required.
Case Study: Manufacturing Business
We were contacted by a large manufacturing organisation who wanted to roll out a programme of IOSH managing safely to their supervisors and team leaders.
The challenge for this organisation was releasing people for 3 days to attend and to capture all shifts.
We worked with the team to arrange the training over consecutive weeks to ensure people could attend and have minimum impact on the business.
We were also happy to provide the training across all shifts, we understand that business isn’t always 9-5 and are always happy to be flexible to meet our client’s needs.
Case Study: Facilities management organisation
We worked with a facilities management company who were looking to transition their accreditation from OHSAS18001 to ISO45001.
We reviewed all of their current management system, including all policies, procedures and site management documentation.
This was followed by suggesting and managing the implementation of a number of improvements.
